Want a direct link that takes customers straight to your Google review form? Here's how to generate one in under a minute.
What Is a Google Review Link?
A Google review link is a URL that opens Google's review form directly for your business. Instead of asking customers to search for your business on Google Maps, find the review button, and figure out how to leave a review — you give them a single click.
The format looks like this:
https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJ...
Step 1: Find Your Google Place ID
Your Place ID is a unique identifier Google assigns to every business location. To find yours:
- Go to Google's Place ID Finder
- Search for your business name and address
- Copy the Place ID (it starts with "ChIJ")
Step 2: Build Your Review Link
Take your Place ID and plug it into this URL template:
https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID
That's it. Share this link via text, email, or print it as a QR code.
Step 3: Make It Memorable
The raw Google URL is long and ugly. You have a few options:
- URL shortener — Use a service to create a shorter link
- QR code — Convert it to a QR code and print it
- Praisely — Get a branded link like
praisely.co/r/your-businessthat includes smart routing (happy customers go to Google, unhappy ones go to your private feedback inbox)
Where to Share Your Review Link
- Text message after an appointment or visit
- Email signature
- QR code on receipts, table cards, or your front counter
- Social media bio
- "Thank you" page after an online purchase
